Ford Motor Company a well known name in American motor manufacturing industry is going to launch a small car for India market that is Ford Figo.This car is based on the Ford Global B platform.Ford motor is American multinational corporation that is based in Dearborn, Michigan.
Ford was founded by a automaker he was Henry Ford in June 16, 1903. In addition to the Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury brands, Ford also owns one more brand that is Volvo Cars of Sweden. Ford motor start its plant in Chennai for volume production ac a small car center of excellence regionally.
Ford Motor invests 500 million USD for Chennai plant, production capacity of this plant is expected to 200,000 units per year and ford introduces major advances in high-quality automation and innovative technology.

The Ford Figo will have all the four wheels positioned at the corners of the vehicle with minimum overhang, while the side will be made with a window graphic by use of a blacked-out B-pillar, that give it look link a one windows.
Ford Figo will has the engine capacity of 0.8 liters to 1.6 liters with four cylinders.The Ford Figo small car is coming with 1200cc petrol engine that produce capacity about 75BHp power. Ford Figo is a B+ segment car and the engine of this car is Duratec of Petrol version.
The Ford Figo is five door car with seating capacity of five people. Ford Figo will explore on Indian roads about second month of 2010 and the price of Ford Figo in Indian market will be expected to 3.50 lakhs to 4 lakhs.
